5 Top Tips to Lose Weight in a Sweet Way

Looking to lose weight and keep it off? Food can be so addicting, not to mention sugar. I was definitely addicted to sugar. But there are things we can do about it, starting with a Healthy Shake – the healthiest meal of the day.

I knew I needed to lose weight, especially after disliking my wedding pictures because of the way I looked. Large, round belly and face. Just unhealthy. But I couldn’t discipline myself. Until I got inspired and decided to become part of an online team and just go for it. Doing it with a group was helpful because I wasn’t alone. In my mind, I knew that I had that one healthy meal in per day with so many helpful, beneficial ingredients. (Go to my post here on the Healthy Shake Ingredients & Benefits). This was truly a mental rock for me, and something I really needed as my diet slowly improved. This is what helps us to lose weight for good and keep it off. That strong mentality. If I had pizza or unhealthy things, I could forgive myself and have that needed grace because I’d had the healthiest meal of the day already (usually for breakfast), and I could tell myself I was doing fine. Even to this day, that’s what I do.

I lost 35 pounds pre-pregnancy. I gained confidence & smaller clothing sizes. Now, postpartum, continuing my journey, I know there’s more of my journey to come. Because that’s one of the things about a “weight loss journey” — it never “ends.” You keep going. You keep maintaining it. And with my online fitness team, I have FUN doing it!

My Top Tips to Lose Weight with This Healthy Shake:

1. Commit to having it daily.

Every. Day. Start with day 1, and see how you feel after having the shake. Really feel your body out the rest of the day. How were your cravings? Did you feel healthier? Did you feel cleaner? How about your digestion & bowel movements? Do you feel happy about your decision and the healthy ingredients you consumed?

If you like how you feel, continue to day 2. Soon enough, it’ll be so routine you won’t have to think about it. After the 21 days of forming a new habit, your mindset will be improved.

2. Start off with it first thing in the morning.

This will help your mindset the rest of the day, plus give you the needed morning protein to break your fast. Protein will help you feel more full the rest of the day, and will help curb your cravings.

3. Drink lots of water before and after the Healthy Shake.

At least one glass of water or more. This is important to keep hydrated, which is important for weight loss. Usually people don’t hydrate enough. And drinking this much water will also make you more full. If in doubt, drink more water. Before any meal, drink water. It’s super important.

4. Add things to your Healthy Shake if you want, but keep track of your food to make sure you’re in a calorie deficit.

To lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficient. To make the shake even more filling, you can add: a frozen banana (or half), frozen berries, chia seeds, flax seeds, nut butter, milk. And to make it taste even sweeter, you can add flavored coffee creamer. But again, plain shake with water is just fine and has less calories. 5. Say “Thank you.”

This may dip a little bit into spirituality, but saying a prayer or simply saying “thank you” to your food can literally change the vibration and energy of your food.
