6 Easy Tips to Live A Happier Life

A Happier Life is the Goal.

Start boosting your mood today! No need to wait. Isn’t a happier life what everyone wants? It sometimes seems so out of reach, but the thing is, it’s totally possible. That life is so ready for you, just like you are for it.

1. Practice Mindfulness.

Being mindful is a now popular idea among companies and individuals to a happier life. It definitely helps to boost mood. But how can we become mindful?

Be here and now and present. A way we can do this is simply notice what’s around you. Gze with soft eyes around you and take into account things in the room. Working ot not lable them as “good” or “bad” but just here. Everything is fine the way it is. Everything is. Then notice your own body and feelings and quality of your mind. Closing your eyes can help feel deeper into the mind and body.

The breath can aid us with mindfulness whether with our eyes open or closed. In a kind of meditation, focus on the breath moving in and out of your nose. Feeling the breath on your skin can help bring your mind to the present moment.

Notice that in this present moment, all is well. All is fine, right here and now. No need to think about the past or the future, because they don’t exist. The only thing that really exists is the now. If you find your mind stressing about the past or the future, gently bring your awareness back to the present moment, noticing your breath once again.

Take this gentleness into the rest of your day, noticing the people around you fully. Noticing the space you’re in fully. And see if a certain peace comes with you.

2. Make Yourself Smile and Laugh for a Happier Life.

This is such a simple tip! But it really works. I like to practice this while I’m driving and see people on the road. If I realize in certain moments that I’m not as happy as I’d like to be, or that I’m feeling and looking too serious, I’ll smile.

What does a smile do? It triggers mood-boosting hormones in the brain!

Try it now, and see if your fake smile doesn’t turn into a real one in just a few moments. To further this tip – start laughing. Your fake laugh may also become more genuine and then your mood has turned way up. Something you can do easily, anytime, anywhere.

3. Focus on Gut Health to Boost Mood.

Did you know that gut health has an impact on your mood and energy levels? Become more positive minded with an improved gut. Basically, exercise and healthy eating plays a key role here.

It can be so hard to eat healthy or to know how to get started with this. I recommend to you the way I started, having a daily meal replacement shake with all the nutrients for the day, My Healthy Shake. I’ve kept this habit up for 7 years. It’s yummy, and the ingredients are unbeatable. No reason to stop!

Eat plenty of fruit and veggies, too. This helps to regulate the gut. If you find it hard to get in your vegetables for the day, then let me introduce you to this healthy veggie powder that can be easy to add to your shakes. And voila! A full serving of veggies! With no altered taste to the yummy shake. I have this every single day.

Fiber is also important for gut health. This is my favorite fiber boost which helps regulate digestion. I have it daily and add it to my shakes, which doesn’t alter the taste.

4. Bust Your Stress.

There are several awesome ways ways to de-stress.

Healthy Herbs.

Adaptogenic herbs and botanicals have traditionally been used to help the body adapt and respond to the effects of stress, whether it’s from your busy lifestyle, the environment, or working out.

My Healthy Shake is a proprietary blend meal replacement that I’ve been using for 7 years. It has ingredients like ashwagandha, reishi, and chaga, which are great for feeling calm and destressed, and you don’t usually get these from an ordinary diet. Try it, drink it mindfully, and see how you feel. One good thing about this shake too, is that it comes with a 30-day money back guarantee. So, if you don’t like it, it’s all good.

Meditation and Yoga.

Meditation ties a lot into the Mindfulness methods that are in Number 1. In meditation, you concentrate your mind on your breath and calmness instead of the addiction. First, become comfortable. Close your eyes and focus directly on your breath coming in and out of your nose. When your mind wanders, calmly notice it, and bring your attention back to your breath. Even if you must do this a thousand times.

I always suggest to move your body before meditating, either through exercise, yoga, or simple stretching. This helps the mind to focus on the movement of the body, and then makes it so much easier to then focus on the breathing with so much mental activity going on.

5. Exercise and Move Your Body Daily.

Moving your body makes more mitochondria be released in your muscle cells, which fuels your body. Having more mitochondria increases your body’s energy supply.

If you’re new to exercise, a good way to not be intimidated by it is to start out attempting 5 minutes a day, and if you do more, great! I always exercise with videos, knowing I can pause any time, and knowing the instructors are giving modifications as needed.

Find a work out that you think is fun! Maybe it’s nature walking, biking, karate, barre, yoga, dance, or boxing. If you’d like to find a variety of workout programs plus live workouts, you should consider my workout program here. It also comes with an ongoing healthy mindset program and meal planning programs and nutrition help. I’ve been using this app for 7 years, and have lost 35+ pounds with it.

After you finish an exercise, take note of how you feel, and how your body feels. This adrenaline high will help you feel more motivated to work out next time, because your body feels so good. You’ll want it to feel that good all the time!

6. Tidy Space, Tidy Mind.

In other words, clean up your space. Traditional Feng Shui is about how the outer world reflects the inner. So if your room, kitchen, work space, and/or house is a mess, then what does that say about what is inside your mind and body? Peace and calm? Or chaos?

When your area is clean and tidy, you’ll feel a sense of pride and feel like you’re living in a beautiful space. It’s funny how it can affect your feelings and the clarity of your mind and thoughts. If you haven’t tried this yet, try it before you diss it!

To not feel overwhelm, take it one day at a time with tidying up. Maybe even one tip at a time. Make small choices for less mess, such as…

  1. Keep your doorways free of clutter.
  2. Put away the toys into the toy box while your kids watch or help.
  3. Put away clean dishes as soon as you can so you can place dirty dishes right in when you’re done with them.
  4. Right before or after dinner, wipe the counters down quickly.
  5. Keep bathroom doors closed and toilet seats down.
  6. Come up with a day each week that’s best for sweeping and vacuuming.
  7. Open shades during the day to bring in the pretty, natural light.
